Argentina midfielder, Rodrigo De Paul, has identified Neymar as the toughest player he has played against.
De Paul described Neymar, who currently plays for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, as an animal in football.
Neymar is out of the upcoming Copa America 2024 in the USA because of an injury.
The former Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona forward sustained the injury while on international duty late last year and it has ruled him out of the season.
“Neymar in the Copa America final was the toughest opponent I faced,” De Paul said (as per Albiceleste Talk).
“He is an animal. I told him a couple of things.
“In the second half, during a play, I said to him: ‘Honestly, man, you are a phenomenon.
“It’s not just how you play, no one can throw you off your game.’ Then we hugged. Ney in that final was spectacular.”
