Van Nistelrooy in shock move to return to English football

Burnley are close to appointing Ruud van Nistelrooy as their manager.

He will replace Vincent Kompany, who left for Bayern Munich this summer.

According to De Telegraaf, the Clarets are in advanced talks with Van Nistelrooy.

Burnley are looking to bring in a manager that will lead them back to the Premier League following their relegation last season.

And they believe Van Nistelrooy is the perfect fit for the job.

Van Nistelrooy departed PSV Eindhoven during the 2022-2023 season, despite having a contract until 2025.

During his tenure, he led the team to victory in the Johan Cruyff Shield and the KNVB Cup in his first season, also securing a respectable qualification for the Champions League.
