The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has postponed the kick-off date for the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup Nations.
The competition which was originally scheduled to take place this summer in Morocco from July 5 to July 26, 2025.
CAF took the decision during its executive committee meeting on Friday.
This marks the first time the WAFCON will be held outside its originally scheduled year.
Teams from 12 countries, including the Super Falcons of Nigeria and defending champions, Banyana Banyana of South Africa, have already qualified for the biennial competition.
