Former Manchester United star Andy Cole has slammed the club for telling current manager Erik ten Hag they were talking to Thomas Tuchel.
He said the club’s actions could be compared to adultery.
Ten Hag confirmed in a recent interview that Manchester United got in touch with Tuchel regarding replacing him at Old Trafford next season.
And Cole, who slammed his former club’s approach, felt it was the epitome of unprofessionalism.
Speaking to Betfred, Cole said (via Mirror): “Admitting you’ve spoken to another manager is like telling your wife that you’ve been messaging another girl. It’s like committing adultery.
“For Erik ten Hag to claim that he was told by the club that they were speaking to Thomas Tuchel is crazy. It’s just strange, and even more so when you consider how public it’s all been.”
