Former England defender Jamie Carragher has delivered an honest verdict about his country following their performance against Denmark on Thursday.
England’s second game of the Euro 2024 tournament ended in a 1-1 draw with Denmark.
The former Liverpool defender noted that Gareth Southgate’s side has been involved in two of the poorest games in the competition so far.
The Three Lion’s first game was a hard-fought 1-0 against Serbia on June 16. The English side was largely underwhelming despite the victory.
Jamie Carragher wrote on social media: “#EURo2024 has been fantastic, but England have been involved in two of the poorest games so far.”
Denmark were the better side in the game as the Three Lions had just 49 per cent of the ball during the encounter.
Southgate’s men also had 12 total shots and four on target, while Denmark had 16 shots and seven on target.
