France captain, Kylian Mbappé, will not undergo surgery on his broken nose.
Mbappe was taken to a hospital in Düsseldorf after breaking his nose in their 1-0 win over Austria at Euro 2024 on Monday.
There were fears the new Real Madrid striker would require surgery and possibly miss the rest of the tournament.
But France Football Federation president, Philippe Diallo, has told ESPN that the team’s medical staff determined Mbappé would be OK without an operation after undergoing new tests.
Mbappe left the hospital at 1am local time and is back with the team.
He is expected to have a custom mask made for him ahead of Friday’s game against the Netherlands.
