Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho has reportedly set his sights on Manchester United defender, Victor Lindelof as a potential addition to his squad.
According to Teamtalk (via EPL Index), Mourinho is keen on bringing the Swedish international to the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, where he aims to continue his storied managerial career in Turkey.
Mourinho, who has achieved significant success across Portugal, England, Italy, and Spain, is now looking to solidify his legacy in Turkey.
After being appointed as Fenerbahce’s manager following Jorge Jesus’ exit, Mourinho is determined to strengthen the team that narrowly missed out on the Turkish league title to Galatasaray despite amassing 99 points in the 2023-24 season.
The former Real Madrid and Chelsea coach is focused on reinforcing Fenerbahce’s defense and sees a reunion with Lindelof, whom he previously coached at Manchester United, as a strategic move.
Since his €35 million transfer from Benfica in 2017, Lindelof has struggled to become a consistent starter for the Red Devils.
He made 259 appearances for United, with 45 of those under Mourinho.
