Eid-el-Kabir: Our sacrifices will not be in vain – Governor Sani

The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has felicitated with Muslim brothers and sisters in Kaduna State and across the world on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

Governor Sani, who said this on Sunday, in a statement, noted that the feast is a reminder of the imperative and value of devotion, patience, and perseverance, adding that it points to the values of selflessness, love and compassion.

” As we show love and care to our families and neighbours, let’s continue to pray earnestly for the peace and progress of our state and country.

“For me and the administration I lead, whose first anniversary was marked on May 29, today reminds us that whatever sacrifices we make to grow Kaduna State as a haven of peace and development are neither misplaced nor are they in vain. Even though painful, the sacrifices are necessary and worthwhile; they are like the labour pains preceding the successful birth of a baby which ends in joy.

“Let your hope not be dampened because those who sow in sorrow always reap in joy.

“My fellow Muslim faithful, as my government dialogues with various stakeholder groups and individuals, there should also be dialogues and friendships between the stakeholders and individuals. I therefore urge you to soberly reflect on your role in ensuring sustainable peace and harmony in your neighbourhoods, communities, state and the country. I implore you all to continue to live in peace and harmony with Nigerians of other faiths in the spirit of peaceful coexistence,” the statement said.
